The Intercalated BA in Medical Humanities was launched in 2006-7. Since then about 157 students, from various medical, dental and veterinary schools, have graduated. The decade and a half or so that has followed has seen the students engage in many activities beyond their set curriculum. One saw them working with Arnos Vale Cemetery, as part of a Wellcome Trust People Award, to produce an education pack on the Cemetery for local schools. Arnos Vale then offered them the use of the Spielman Centre for an end-of-year exhibition of their creative work. The exhibition was awarded a ‘Pick of the Week’ by the Bristol Evening Post, and every year since there has been exhibition. The venue has seen changes, but since 2017 has been at the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft's The Space. The Covid-19 pandemic meant that the exhibition moved online for 2019-20 and 2020-21. In 2022, we were very thankful to return to The Space proper. We thought, though, that it would be good also to keep an online record of the exhibition -- which is what you have to look through here. We hope you enjoy these pages.
